Maybe it’s just me, but whether I am fishing for sharks, flounder, snook, pompano, striped bass, or just whatever bites, I want to have all the beach fishing gear I need to potentially catch them all without carrying my whole house with me. Between choosing fishing poles, fishing rigs, fishing bait and other fishing gear, things can get confusing. I wanted to write a list of what to pack for beach fishing for anyone who has questions about what to bring. Here is everything I need to be prepared for whatever fish are biting on the beach. This is just a general beach fishing gear list to help you get started. I bring this gear to pretty much every beach I fish around the world.

My beach fishing box weighs under 10 pounds and I can walk long distances without having to haul a garage full of gear on my back.  I hope this guide helps you prepare for an awesome day of beach fishing. Be sure to let us know what you catch out there!

If you want to learn more about why I chose each of these items or how to use them, I have written an in-depth crash course teaching and explaining all the essential beach fishing gear you need to pack for your fishing trip. This gear guide explains what every beach fishing angler should have in their bag in order to be prepared for any fishing situation on the surf. Most importantly, you will learn how and why to use this gear. We cover the most popular kinds of fishing poles, reels, hooks, sinkers, lures and other gear for surf fishing. At the end of this crash course you should be able to get all the gear you need packed and ready to go to the beach for a day of fishing! Also, check out my YouTube video I made about on Jetty/Surf Crash Course! Thanks for Reading!
