Great rod

I got this rod to take on a family trip we were taking to norway and it was great as i could break it down and it fit my suitcase nicely. My only gripe would be that with 5 pieces to align, it could be great if the rod came marked with alingment marks to make putting it together a bit faster. The rod action is fast and snappy, light if paired with a shimano 4000 or lower reel, and casts far.

Tiz Travel Fishing Rod

I absolutely Love this rod, especially paired with my 3000 Shimano Stadic Reel (setup recommended by Hey Skipper).. So comfortable and easy to use. Easy to cast and even better pulling the big ones in whether on the pier, boat or shore!

*The third edition of our rod includes an upgraded carbon fiber material that is sourced from Japan. We also upgraded the travel case made it entirely of neoprene material featuring thicker straps. This travel case is a much higher quality case than version 1 and provides extra protection while traveling.

Special Features:

  • Includes travel carrying case
  • Extremely lightweight allowing for more casting without fatigue
  • Wrapped with carbon fiber material making it lightweight and extremely strong.
  • Five piece, travel sized rod, disassembles to 2’ long.
  • Perfect to take on any trip because it fits in any backpack.
  • 9’2” makes it perfect for longer distance casting
  • Casts up to 3.5 oz of weight, perfect for lures and fishing bottom rigs at the beach.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. When assembling the rod, *GENTLY* push together until snug- DO NOT EVER FORCE TOGETHER.
  2. After each use, wash the rod down with freshwater and use a rag to wipe down all of the guides.
  3. There should be matte section showing between the joints! This is intended to account for natural swelling and compression based on weather and humidity. The rod is not intended to be forced together until the carbon fiber sections meet.
